Your Feedback Helped Make This Pattern Shine

My fabulous group of testers has finished test driving the Butterfly Waltz Baby Blanket motif, and they have some fantastic motifs to show for it!

Thanks to their feedback, I came up with a new pattern layout that will present photos of each completed round, as well as sidebar bubbles with special tips, side-by-side with the pattern. Testers also weighed in on which pattern extras they’d like to see, and the clear winner was instructions for alternate border options. They also expressed interest in a coloring sheet to help them customize their blanket’s color scheme. Based on this feedback, the pattern will now include both!

Testers also helped me clarify sections that they found confusing and weighed in on the photo tutorial and stitch charts. Their feedback also showed me which steps to focus on with my video tutorial. All around, it was a great experience, and I’m so very grateful for all their hard work.

To show my appreciation, each volunteer tester will receive a copy of the pattern, and all the extras, when it’s released next week. Until then, I’m excited to share with you the fabulous motifs from these excellent testers!

Aren’t these butterflies amazing? I’m so impressed by everyone’s color choices and fantastic stitching.

It was really inspiring to hear about all the great yarn shops out there and about the knowledgeable staff members who share their love of yarn crafts with their local communities every day.

It gave me an idea! I’d like to open the mic to our fabulous little community here and invite you to give a shout-out to your local yarn store.

Do you participate in your LYS’s open knitting/crocheting sessions? Do you go there for advice or classes? Does your shop host unique special events like movie nights, happy hour, or yarn tastings?
