As we head into a week that can look and feel very different for each of us (joyful, busy, quiet, or somewhere in between), I wanted to send this note a little early. I put together something special for you: a handful of simple, grounding ideas to help you find a bit of calm whenever you need it.

Here are a few small-but-mighty self-care ideas for the coming week.

• Crochet one row or round with your morning coffee. Not a project, not a goal—just one slow, intentional row or round. Sometimes that’s all it takes to bring a sense of calm and inner peace before the day begins.

• Take a five-minute walk outside, even if it's just to the end of the driveway and back. Fresh air is still fresh air, even in small servings, and it can reset your mood more than you might expect.

• Tell everyone you need to run to the grocery store. Then treat yourself to a few peaceful minutes in the parking lot, crocheting with your favorite music (or in total silence) like you’re stealing away on a tiny vacation.

• Take a tour through my “Knit & Crochet to Make You Smile” Pinterest board. I’ve been curating this collection of zany, whimsical, joyful knit and crochet projects and memes for over a decade now. With more than 500 pins and counting, it’s a guaranteed lift for the spirit.

• Enjoy a little window shopping in my Etsy or Ravelry stores. It’s like wandering through a tiny, quiet craft fair—no noise, no crowds, just inspiration.
